Bio
Dr. A. Jagannatha Reddy is Professor and Head of the Department of Physics at M.S. Ramaiah Institute of Technology, Bengaluru. With over 35 years of experience in higher education, he has established himself as a leading researcher in nanomaterials and luminescence studies. He joined MSRIT in 1990 as a Lecturer and has since been promoted to Professor, contributing significantly to academic excellence and institutional development. Dr. Reddy has published 38 research papers with strong citations (h-index 13) and has guided 3 PhD scholars to completion with 2 currently pursuing doctorates. His research encompasses interdisciplinary collaborations in spectroscopic characterization, photoluminescence properties, and gamma-ray shielding materials. Beyond research, he serves as Chief Warden of Boys' Hostel, Secretary of MSRIT EPF Trust, and is a member of Board of Studies / Board of Examiners / Doctoral Committee member at multiple institutions.
