About the Department
Overview
Established in 1962, the Department of Mathematics at MSRIT provides strong mathematical foundations across all engineering programmes and offers doctoral research under VTU. Faculty specialise in Applied mathematics, Graph theory, Numerical analysis, Optimization and cryptography, contributing to interdisciplinary research and quality publications.

To mould the students to have strong Mathematical and analytical skills to meet the challenges open to them
Mission
To provide the students with a strong Mathematical foundation through courses which cater to the needs of industry, research and higher education.
