Bio
Pavan Kumar M .V. is a Mechanical Engineering academic, researcher, and educator with close to two decades of experience in higher education, teaching, research, and academic development. He is currently associated with the Department of Mechanical Engineering at M.S. Ramaiah Institute of Technology, Bengaluru, where he serves as an Assistant Professor.
He completed his Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering from Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Technology in 2012, followed by an M.Tech. in Thermal Power Engineering from MVJ College of Engineering in 2014. At present, he is pursuing his PhD in Mechanical Engineering at the National Institute of Technology Karnataka (NITK), Surathkal, which he commenced in 2022.
His research and academic interests are primarily focused on thermal, refrigeration, and energy engineering, with particular emphasis on heat transfer, Refrigeration & air conditioning, turbines, solar energy technologies, and sustainable technologies. His scholarly work also extends to renewable energy systems and the mechanical characterisation of advanced materials.
Pavan Kumar M V has contributed to the research community through 8 publications in international/national journals and 2 papers presented at international conferences. His research contributions cover diverse areas of mechanical engineering, including thermal systems, renewable energy, composite materials, and material characterisation.
In addition to his teaching and research activities, he actively engages with the professional engineering community and is a member of organisations such as the Indian Society for Technical Education (ISTE) . He has also developed research collaborations with academic institutions and researchers across different organisations, contributing to knowledge exchange and interdisciplinary research.
With extensive teaching experience, ongoing doctoral research, and a growing portfolio of scholarly contributions, Pavan Kumar M V continues to advance Mechanical Engineering education and research, particularly in thermal sciences, sustainable energy, and advanced engineering materials.
