Dr. K.R.V. Subramanian

Dr. K. R. V. Subramanian is a distinguished Professor and Head of the Department of Mechanical Engineering and Head of R&D at Ramaiah Institute of Technology, Bengaluru, with over 32 years of academic and industrial experience. He obtained his Ph.D. in Nanotechnology from the University of Cambridge, England, and completed his postdoctoral research at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, USA. He holds a Master’s degree in Metallurgy from the Indian Institute of Science (IISc) and a Bachelor’s degree in Metallurgical Engineering from NIT Tiruchirappalli. His research expertise includes nanotechnology, nanocomposites, solar energy, nanofluids, energy storage, and advanced materials. His pioneering research includes the development of nanostructured solar cells and supercapacitors. He has published over 150 journal and conference papers, guided several Ph.D. and M.Tech scholars, and served as Principal Investigator for numerous government-funded research projects. Dr. Subramanian is a Fellow of prestigious organizations including the Cambridge Commonwealth Society and the Royal Society of Chemistry. His contributions to materials science, nanotechnology, and sustainable energy technologies have earned him significant national and international recognition.
