Bio
Kavya KS is an Assistant Professor in the Information Science and Engineering Department at M.S. Ramaiah Institute of Technology, Bengaluru, since August 2023. She holds an M.Tech in Software Engineering from MSRIT (2022) and a B.E. in Information Science and Engineering from Atria Institute of Technology (2019). Her research interests span machine learning, artificial intelligence, cognitive computing, and data science, with practical experience in developing AI-based systems for yoga posture detection, accident detection from traffic cameras, and satellite health monitoring using telemetry data.
With a background spanning research, software development, and teaching, she has worked as a Research Scientist at ISRO on machine learning models for satellite telemetry analysis, and as a Full Stack Web Developer on enterprise construction management systems. Her teaching philosophy emphasizes creating nurturing educational environments grounded in hard work and perseverance. She is fluent in English, Kannada, Telugu, and Hindi.
