Dr. Kusuma S

Dr. Kusuma S is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Information Science and Engineering at Ramaiah Institute of Technology, Bengaluru, with a Ph.D. in Computer Science and Engineering. She has over 22 years of teaching experience and more than 10 years of research experience. Her teaching expertise encompasses Data Structures and Applications, Design and Analysis of Algorithms, Database Management Systems, Cyber Security, Python Programming, and Application Development using Python, Cloud Computing at undergraduate and postgraduate levels.

She has actively contributed to academic and institutional activities, including NBA, NAAC, LIC, IQAC, student mentoring, and undergraduate project coordination. She is also a coordinator of the AWS Cloud Club at RIT and has contributed as a trained faculty member under Infosys InfyTQ and as a trainer for the Infosys Campus Connect Program, supporting students in developing industry-relevant skills.

Her research interests include Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Computer Vision, Image and Video Processing, Video Surveillance, Anomaly Detection, and Video Analytics, with interdisciplinary applications in Healthcare, Agriculture, and Crop Yield Estimation. She has published research papers in international conferences and peer-reviewed journals, including quartile-ranked journals, and actively guides undergraduate and postgraduate student projects and research.
