Dr. Parimala Prabhakar

Dr. Parimala Prabhakar is an esteemed Academician, Researcher, and Senior IEEE Member specializing in Microwave Engineering, Antennas, and Wireless Communication. She holds a Ph.D. from Jain University guided by NAL scientist, M.E. in Digital Communication, and B.E. in Telecommunication Engineering from BMSCE, Bangalore.

With over two decades of academic excellence, she serves as the Department Coordinator for the Center of Excellence in Antennas and RF Systems. She has successfully led high-impact research, securing a major DST grant of ₹52.58 Lakhs for prototyping NAVIC receivers, alongside multiple RIT seed, IEEE MTT-S, and alumni-funded student projects. Her industry consultancy work in RF design has generated over ₹3.9 Lakhs in revenue.

An accomplished author and innovator, she holds three published Indian patents in 5G and transparent antenna arrays, co-authored a textbook on Microwaves and Antenna Propagation and Advanced Parameter estimation by Taylor and Francis and published over 40 papers in Scopus-indexed journals and international conferences. Recognized with the prestigious Sir Thomas Ward Memorial Award by IEI and the Best Senior Faculty Award. She is a recognized Ph.D. guide under VTU. She actively contributes as an internal BOS member, session chair, conference reviewer, and co ordinated for MoU for industry-academia collaborations.
