Dr. P. Dhamodhar is an Associate Professor in the Department of Biotechnology at M.S. Ramaiah Institute of Technology with 25 years of teaching experience and 15 years of research experience. He holds a Ph.D. in Biotechnology from Periyar University. He has secured University 6th rank in UG and 7th rank in PG from University of Madras. His research interests focus on medical biotechnology, biopolymers, protein engineering. Dr. Dhamodhar has supervised 2 Ph.D. scholars (awarded) and 3 scholars are currently pursuing doctoral degrees. He serves as Principal Investigator for an RIT Seed Funding project on biopolymer optimization (2024-2026) and has been a Co-Coordinator for the Biotechnology Skill Enhancement Programme sanctioned by KBITS. He is an active member of multiple Boards of Studies and Exams across premier institutions, contributing significantly to academic governance and curriculum development in biotechnology and biochemistry.
