Dr. Lokesh is an Associate Professor in the Department of Biotechnology at M.S. Ramaiah Institute of Technology, Bengaluru, with over 19 years of experience in teaching, research, and academic administration. He holds a Ph.D. in Biotechnology from Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU) (2017–2018), an M.Pharm in Biotechnology from Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences (RGUHS) (2007), and a B.Pharm from RGUHS (2004).
His primary areas of research include pharmaceutical biotechnology, bioprocess technology, and nutraceutical research, with particular interests in drug delivery systems, theranostics, and the characterization of bioactive compounds. His research activities focus on developing innovative biotechnology-based approaches with potential applications in pharmaceutical and nutraceutical sciences.
He is a professional member of the Karnataka State Pharmacy Council and a life member of the Indian Pharmaceutical Association. In addition to his teaching and research responsibilities, he actively contributes to institutional administration, academic development, and accreditation-related activities. His extensive experience reflects a strong commitment to teaching excellence, interdisciplinary research, and institutional development..
